In this presentation, practitioners will discuss strategies for developing strong partnerships with labor groups and leaders outside of negotiations, ultimately improving the tone at the table. HR leaders will discuss the importance of training all managers and administrators to view labor reps as partners instead of adversaries when dealing with personnel and program issues, which often spill into negotiations. Attendees will consider the challenging role of labor leaders and look beyond the veil of their sometimes tough and adversarial outward presentation.
